Planting trees

The students  from Gimnazjum in Juszczyna, in co-operation with Forest District Węgierska Górka, joined the action "We plant 1000 trees per minute".  On May 9th, 15 pupils with teachers  went to the village Przybędza, where they participated in  planting of trees. The students first listened to a short lecture on importance of the forest for the nature.

Then the foresters  instructed students how to plant trees properly.

After that students had the opportunity to plant trees on their own. The work proved to be very difficult because in the mountain is hard to dig as there are numerous stones and roots in the ground. Pupils had an opportunity to see how difficult is the forest workers job. In the end, the employees of the Forest District made a fire and all participants  roasted sausages and had a meal together.
