The Environment-English lesson


 Lesson’s script: “The Environment and its Protection”                                                           Juszczyna 16.11.201   
According to the project:”Live Healthily in a Healthy  Environment”                                         
Additional lesson done during the short-term exchange of groups of pupils from Polish, German, Dutch and Turkish schools in Gimnazjum z Oddziałami Dwujęzycznymi in Juszczyna.
                                                     

The main objectives of the lesson:
-learning vocabulary connected with the natural world and its protection,
-development of the skills at reading comprehension, expressing opinions and discussing the mentioned topics above.
The other objectives:                                
-increasing the knowledge of environmental issues,
-taking advantages of working in an international group,
-comparison of different opinions and ability of drawing conclusions.
Types of work:
-pair-work,
-team work,
-individual work.
Materials and equipment:
- texts connected with The Natural World,
-notebooks,
-a computer,
-a blackboard and colorful chalk,
-dictionaries,
-drawings,
-tables with vocabulary.
Methods: communication, translating.
 
Parts of the lesson:
1)Welcoming, introducing and checking the list of the students.
2)”Brain-storming”: finding the suitable words for the topic.
3)Filling in the tables with international meanings of the topic words.
4)Reading the text ”Living in the Modern World”, discussing the reasons for pollution.
5)writing down the environmental problems, which can be dealt with on three levels: internationally, nationally and on a personal level.
6)Define the Environment or Natural World-as the world in which we live.

Healthy lifestyle-English lesson


Lesson’s script: Healthy Lifestyle                                                    Juszczyna 16.11.201   

According to the project:”Live Healthily in a Healthy  Environment”                                         

Additional lesson done during the short-term exchange of groups of pupils from Polish, German, Dutch and Turkish schools in Gimnazjum z Oddziałami Dwujęzycznymi in Juszczyna.
The main aims of the lesson:
-learning vocabulary connected with a diet, food, drinks and healthy activities(physical exercises),
-development of the skills at reading comprehension, expressing opinions and discussing the mentioned issues above,
-learning how to cope with a stress and manage the time.
The other objectives:
-increasing the knowledge of healthy diet and healthy lifestyle,
-taking advantages of working in an international group,
-comparison of different opinions and ability of drawing conclusions.

Types of work:
-pair-work,
-team work,
-individual work.

Materials and equipment:
- texts connected with healthy diet and lifestyle,
-notebooks,
-a computer,
-a blackboard and colorful chalk,
-dictionaries,
-drawings,
-tables with vocabulary.

Parts of the lesson:
1)Welcoming, introducing and checking the list of the students.

4)Reading the text:”Bad Habits” and discussing the reasons for the diseases.
5)writing down the healthy activities: walking, running, climbing the mountains, cycling, skateboarding, skiing, playing volleyball, football and basketball, taking part in sports competitions.
6)Define “lifestyle”.   A healthy lifestyle is one which helps to keep and improve people's health and well-being,

Geography lesson


                                                                                                               Juszczyna 16.11.2015

 Geography lesson done during  the short-term exchange of groups of pupils from German, Dutch and Turkish schools in Juszczyna within the Erazmus+ project:
“Live Healthily in a Healthy Environment”.

 Polish teacher: Mrs.Katarzyna Syc

 

Main objectives:

a.      pupils gain the knowledge of the partner countries,

                b.     they get known each other.

The detailed aims:
 -to acquaint the pupils with the natural, social and economic conditions of the countries, in which they live,
-educational: pupils learn about some differences between their countries, they train to work  in an international group and develop English skills connected with communication,
-they are being encouraged to learn about the World.

Methods:
a.      work in a few groups consist of four students,
b.     active methods- finding and collecting information about the partner countries,
c.      multimedia presentation,
d.     doing the crossword and discussion.

 Teaching aids: computer-Power-Point presentation, maps of the Europe, the cards with   crosswords.

 Lesson

a.      the first part – introduction of the topic and its aims, dividing pupils into groups, assign them the tasks
b.      the main part:
       the representatives of the students from Poland, Germany, Holland and Turkey show their multimedia presentations about their countries,
       work in groups-placing information on the prepared cards,
       the students draw conclusions  connected with the similarities and differences between their countries.
c.      summary - evaluation: pupils do the crossword, guess the password and explain the meaning of the word.
