On Monday,
students from Poland , Turkey and the Netherlands and their teachers visited the school in Uetze. The students could see the German school working conditions. The head teacher
of the school, showed the guests their chemistry and science classrooms, computer lab , teacher room, school
office, and very interesting room for only the oldest students. Guests were
introduced to the general organization of the school activities and modern equipment of the classrooms.
In the afternoon
there was a test of knowledge of partner’s countries. "Welcome to the country quiz". Among the
questions about each country participating in the project there were questions about the area of the
country, the number of tourists visiting the country, its capital, the most
famous legends and dishes, the prime minister, flag history, etc.
At the end of the
scheduled time, everyone was invited to a healthy lunch, with lots of
vegetables, in a school canteen.
On Tuesday the
students and the teachers took part in a
trip to Berlin .
They saw the Bundestag and could walk along the streets of Berlin but the visit to the Museum of Nature was the
most important for them. They could admire some exhibitions and were informed about them. The students loved the visit to the museum,
which is really huge and a valuable form of aducation . It
encourages visitors to support the efforts to protect endangered species and save the Earth.
Wednesday was the
day when Erasmus + participants took part in lessons together with their German
hosts.
After lunch,
guests took part in a workshop in the school garden. Students from all
countries planted herbs together. These were the most commonly used in kitchen
spices such as sage, thyme, mint. The classes were supervised by German
teachers. The purpose of the workshop was to familiarize students with herbal
species, their origin and important role in human nutrition and their positive
impact on human health.
On Thursday, a
large group of pupils from the partner countries of the project, with the help
of their German teachers, went to Hannover to
visit the local ZOO. The Hannover ZOO has turned out to be a unique place where
good conditions have been created for captive animals. There are large runways with
varied constructions of the area, which imitate the natural environment, provide the
animals with space and access to proper care.
Students were
able to get acquainted with the characteristic features of the landscape and environment in which the spicies live.
Pupils
could also see how the people enter the wildlife world and coexist with it.
On Friday, all
the pupils met at the school in Uetze. They
were divided into three groups and participated in three kinds of
workshops . First group prepared a refreshing day cream for themselves or for their
mothers. At the beginning they learned how harmful substances are in the creams
bought in stores and then they made their
own cream according to the recipe from the healthy and natural ingredients.
The second group
had culinary classes with using potatoes. Some students made spiral potato chips
fried in deep oil and others baked, sliced potatoes in peels sprinkled with
herbs and served them with a sauce.
The last group of
students produced a unique pizza with potatoes and pesto.
The dishes made by the students were eaten together by the students and the teachers.

The last project workshop
was to carry out a potato battery so that the little lamp came on.
It was the
example how easy we can obtain energy.
In the afternoon
all students and teachers participated
in karaoke contest and had a
meal. The food was delicious. It consisted of traditional healthy dishes,
including plenty of salads and home-made breads. Food was prepared by the
parents of the students involved in the project.
Saturday
Polish students spent with host families. They got to know their ways of
spending free time and eating habits.
